Sem-Antics Privacy Policy

Sem-Antics is a word and category puzzle game operated by Zellman Lab. This policy explains what information the app and website collect, how it is used, and the choices available to players.

Information We Collect

Depending on which features you use, Sem-Antics may collect:

• Account information such as your sign-in provider identifier, email address, display name, and public profile name.
• Gameplay information such as puzzle results, multiplayer room participation, scores, rankings, game history, saved records, feedback, and dictionary reports.
• Purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock decks, subscriptions, party hosting limits, and restore purchases.
• Device and app information such as app version, platform, network status, push notification tokens, diagnostic information, and crash or performance data.
• Advertising-related data collected by Google Mobile Ads, including approximate location inferred from IP address, device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction data, and diagnostics as described by Google.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Run the game, save progress, maintain rankings, and support multiplayer features.
• Authenticate accounts, restore purchases, manage subscriptions, and enforce subscription limits.
• Respond to support requests, review feedback, investigate bugs, and improve gameplay quality.
• Send optional push notifications related to game activity or app features.
• Show non-personalized ads and measure ad performance, subject to privacy choices where required.
• Protect the service from abuse, fraud, spam, and unauthorized access.

Advertising and Consent

Sem-Antics uses Google AdMob for banner advertising. The first mobile release is configured for non-personalized ads. The iOS app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission in this release. The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to refresh consent information before requesting ads and to show privacy choices where required by Google or local law.

You should not click ads for testing purposes. If you see an inappropriate or misleading ad, use the in-app ad reporting option or contact us.

Third-Party Services

Sem-Antics uses third-party services to provide core app functions, including:

• Google Firebase and Google Sign-In for authentication, app messaging, and related platform services.
• Apple Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, and App Store services for iOS account and purchase features.
• Google Play services and Google Play Billing for Android account and purchase features.
• Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for ads and ad privacy choices.
• Stripe for web checkout and subscription management where web purchases are offered.
• Azure hosting and database services for app backend, multiplayer, and website operation.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers as needed to operate the game, process purchases, display ads, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Public multiplayer and profile features may show your display name, score, rank, and public game history to other players or spectators.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep account, purchase, gameplay, and diagnostic information for as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain game integrity. You can request account deletion or data access by contacting us. Some records may be retained when necessary for fraud prevention, purchase records, legal compliance, or aggregate analytics.

Children

Sem-Antics is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Choices

• You can use guest or anonymous play for supported multiplayer flows.
• You can manage ad privacy choices in the app where Google UMP requires a privacy options entry point.
• You can manage subscriptions and purchases through Apple, Google Play, or the web purchase provider used for the purchase.
• You can request account deletion or support by contacting us.
